What is The Shield?
The Shield is a monthly giving community comprised of our most ardent supporters. Donations made by The Shield Sustaining Members directly fund the programs that keep the Bluecoats mission alive today.
To ensure that The Shield Community supports Bluecoats for generations to come, 50% of your donation is automatically invested into the Bluecoats Endowment Fund. This investment ensures that your membership directly supports the programs of Bluecoats for a lifetime!
As a member of The Shield, you are a VIP at the heart of our mission. You will have exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content, putting you in direct contact with the programs that you support.
We give our Sustaining Members the thanks our most ardent supporters deserve. Members join an exclusive Facebook group where you’ll get behind-the-scenes content including pre-season show videos and other in-depth overage of the programs your membership supports.
At Bluecoats events, Sustaining Members get special access to VIP receptions, parking, and a badge to wear. There are also discounts at the Bluecoats Marketplace, club and suite ticket options, and much more!
Does being a Sustaining Member give me special access?
100% of your membership supports Bluecoats programming. That includes programs like The Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, Rhythm IN BLUE, The Blue Way Summer Educational Events, Bluecoats Band of Excellence, and Cleveland Browns Drumline.
What does membership support?
When do you take the donation?
Every month, on the same day that you join.
So, if you join The Shield on May 8th, we’ll charge your credit card on the 8th of every month.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Yes. Bluecoats is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
