Bluecoats was founded with the goal of providing life changing experiences for students in the Canton area. Nearly fifty years later, our programs reach students around the globe, but our focus on the student experience remains at our core. We will continuously advance our student safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that Bluecoats is a safe and wholesome place to learn, grow, work, and perform
RESPONSIBLE HIRING PRACTICES
We require industry-standard background checks and completion of our Participant Safety Agreement for all employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers.
WHISTLEBLOWER POLICY
We maintain a secure online whistleblower form and email submission method. All submissions are submitted securely and confidentially to multiple parties.
EMERGENCY ACTION PLANNING
We meticulously plan for any scenario where action must be taken to keep our community safe. This includes a thorough set of EAPs and related policies and procedures.
A FOCUS ON HEALTH & WELLNESS
Performer safety starts with their health & wellness. That’s why Bluecoats puts a focus on proper training, preparation, and treatment for our performing athletes. We’ve developed programs, partnerships, and policies to ensure that our community is, first-and-foremost, healthy.
Since 2012 our students have gotten BluecoatStrong together during the offseason. The program, administered through Facebook Groups ™ allows our students (and some particularly fit staff) to work out together, share tips and tricks, and complete visual assignments as a team from January until Spring Training in May.
