Fernando Miller
Battery Instructor

Starting at the age of 12, Fernando has been active in the music scene. Taking percussion lessons and joining the Jr High Band began his life in music in El Paso, TX.

Having moved to California in 1997, he graduated from Upland HS in 2001, with 4 years of marching band and winter percussion seasons under his belt; Fernando began his Drum Corps adventure playing Snare with Pacific Crest (2001). Finishing his Drum Corps career with The Concord Blue Devils (2002, 03, 04 Section Leader).

During the off season, he began his teaching with several Southern California Schools. Also joined the famous Riverside Community College Marching Tigers (2001, 02 Section Leader). And finished his marching career with their indoor branch ensemble, the Riverside Community College Percussion Ensemble (2002, Section Leader for 03, 04, & 05).

Fernando performed in a stage show in Japan titled, Collab. He was one of 4 Americans chosen to be a part of this once in a lifetime performing event. Was on the original Sea World Summer Nights Drum Line Cast. Has been caught playing percussion in multiple Films, TV Shows, Music Videos, and Conventions. And has performed across the nation and world wide performances including Japan, Australia, Trinidad & Tobago, and China.

Currently he continues to arrange and teach music for numerous high schools in the southern California area including Upland HS (Upland, CA), Mission Viejo HS (Mission Viejo, CA), Canyon HS (Anaheim Hills, CA), Ramona HS (Riverside, CA), John W. North HS (Riverside, CA) and Riverside Community College (Riverside, CA). 

Fernando currently resides in Riverside, CA sharing his life with Gladis Garcia.
