Justin Johnson
Visual Instructor

Justin Johnson is originally from Ripley, TN and currently resides in Memphis, TN where he is the Director of Bands at Central High School. In addition to organizing the 175 member Warrior Marching Band, he also conducts the Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Concert Band as well as teaches theory classes.

He began his drum corps career on mellophone with Delta Brigade Drum and Bugle Corps at the age of 14. Justin finished his performing career with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 1998 and 1999. In 2004 Justin joined the instructional staff with the Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps where he remained as a visual instructor until 2007 when the corps took top visual honors as well as the Division III Championship. Justin has designed and instructed for several high school bands and winter guards in the Tennessee and Mississippi area as well as adjudicated throughout the mid-south. This will be the tenth year in the drum corps activity for Justin and he is happy to be back with the Bluecoats organization for his second season as a member of the visual staff.
