Michael Huebner

Michael Huebner graduated from Miami University magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.  While attending Miami, he studied conducting and held the position of Assistant Conductor of the Men’s Glee Club.  Michael marched four summers of drum corps spending his age-out year as the Drum Major for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.  At the end of the 2008 season, he was named “Bluecoat of the Year” at the awards banquet.

Michael currently works in Cobb County School District, and he is the Associate Director of Bands at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, GA.  The Kennesaw Mountain Band program is recognized on the national stage in both the symphonic and marching band areas.  Before moving to Georgia, Michael taught middle school and high school music in Ohio.

In addition to his educational experience, Michael is an active clinician having most recently presented at the 2008 MENC National Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Michael is a member of the following honorary organizations: National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
