Leigh began her drum corps career with The Emerald Knights Drum & Bugle Corps in 1989, spent several years marching in corps within Southern Ontario, and finished her career as a member of the Bluecoats.

Leigh received her honour degree in kinesiology and spent two years working in exercise rehabilitation and personal training before beginning her current career as an elementary school teacher in Ontario, Canada. She currently is an instructor for the Ventures Winterguard from Kitchener, Ontario and served as caption head of the Dutch Boy Drum and Bugle Corps and Winterguard from 2001 - 2008.
