Kurt Mergen
Visual Instructor

Kurt currently teaches AP Calculus, Honors Geometry, and Physics at Kettle Run High School in Fauquier County, Virginia. He also serves as designer and visual coordinator for the Kettle Run HS Band. Kurt has designed drill, taught visual technique, and run indoor programs for high schools throughout Western Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Kurt performed with the Bluecoats for six years, from 1999 through 2004, serving the as Contra/Tuba Section Leader for four years, and as Horn Sergeant for one.

Kurt has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is originally from Indiana, PA, and now lives in Culpeper, VA with his wife, Lisa.
