2012 Auditions

Audition for the 2012 Season!

Follow these instructions to audition for the Bluecoats!

1. Inquire about auditioning for the 2012 Season!

Open auditions for brass & percussion are now closed but an audition may be granted by a section’s caption head based on any needs in their respective section.  To inquire about auditioning for the 2012 Bluecoats, please contact the following people:

Dave Mackinnon (Brass):                 dmackinnon@blueoats.com

Mike Jackson (Battery Percussion):  mjackson@bluecoats.com

Brad Palmer (Front Ensemble):          bpalmer@bluecoats.com

Andy Mroczek (Color Guard):            amroczek@bluecoats.com

2. Pay fees online!

2012 Registration Fee: A one-time $75 audition fee (in addition to the camp fees), will be charged to all prospective members (including veterans) at the first audition camp they attend each season. All registration fees are non-refundable.

2012 Camp Fees: A $75 fee will be charged for each camp (including your first one) in order to cover the cost of housing, meals, and instruction. Although there will be no discounts for doing so, throughout the winter season you will be able to pay this fee online before each camp. (Note: there is no camp fee required for the California or Georgia camps). All camp fees are non-refundable.

Click here to go directly to our online store to pre-pay your audition fee and camp fee.

3. Attend camp to enjoy an incredible experience with the Bluecoats!

If you can, please bring your own Bb marching brass instrument or marching percussion instrument. We will have our equipment, but there will be a limited quantity available.

Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and any personal items needed for an overnight stay.

Please wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes. We may be rehearsing outside (weather permitting), so please bring a jacket.

4. What to Expect at Camp, and Additional Questions

Please see our Membership FAQ for additional questions and information.

5. Information for Parents

In addition, as a parent, you are welcome to stay overnight with the Bluecoats if you volunteer for part or all of the weekend camp! We are always in need of help with cooking, uniforms and cleaning and repairing our vehicles and equipment trailers. If you’d rather sleep in a bed, a list of local motels (for Ohio Camps) is available.

6. Other Questions?

If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to call the Bluecoats office at (330) 433-9115, or email us at bluecoats@bluecoats.com.

7. Are you ready?

The Bluecoats organization is extremely excited about the season ahead. If what you've read here has made you seriously consider joining our corps, we strongly ask that you attend just one rehearsal camp to "check us out!"
